Here are some Thinfinity tutorials.

What is Thinfinity?


Thinfinity enables the Easy-IP native Windows Client to run as a Web Application.

This lets you access Easy-IP from any HTML5 web browser, thus avoiding the need to install the Easy-IP Windows Client on every user PC.

All of the major functionality such as Add/Delete Subnets, Host Discovery, Search and Reporting are available directly from the web browser.


The basic steps to get Thinfinity working are as follows:


How to install Thinfinity.


  1. Run the Easy-IPv7 installer.
  2. Check the Easy-IP Client and Easy-IP Web Interface components. ThinfinitySetup.exe will be downloaded automatically.
  3. Select the Server Environment to install.
  4. Check only the Thinfinity VirtualUI Server. The “Development Environment” is NOT required for normal operation.
  5. Select All Components  - This is the default option. Choose this for a stand-alone installation.
  6. Press Next and wait for the installation process to complete, then press Finish.


Note: 

Thinfinity can be installed on Windows 10 desktop for evaluation, 
but we recommend Windows 2016 server or later for production environments.

Thinfinity will not run on Windows 7, Vista or XP or Server 2003/2008


How to register your Thinfinity license.


Once the installation is complete you'll be taken to the Product Activation Wizard with 3 options:

If you're just evaluating or using Thinfinity for the first time, choose option 1.

If you have been sent a registered license, choose option 2.

if you are behind a proxy or have no internet connection, choose option 3 to get a manual license.


Options 1 & 2.


  1. On receiving your Thinfinity license, open the Thinfinity Server Manager, go to the Licenses Tab
  2. Enter your email and serial number license details then click Activate.
  3. Tip: Copy & paste the information to avoid typing errors.


Option 3 - Request a Manual License

  1. Go to the License tab in the Thinfinity Server Manager, right-click on the license status and go to Manual Activation.
  2. Enter the serial number of your Thinfinity License in the Serial: field and hit Generate Manual Key.
  3. Email the generated manual key to support@cybelesoft.com, so they can send you a new license key.
  4. Once you receive the new key, paste it into the Manual License field and hit Activate License.



How to access Easy-IP via a web browser


  1. Type in the URL http://127.0.0.1:6580 - Or substitute your Easy-IP server IP address, 
  2. Click the Easy-IP icon. The Easy-IP login screen will appear.
  3. Enter your Easy-IP username and password.
  4. Once logged in, you should see the main Easy-IP screen.
